Meezan Mobile Banking is a free finance application for mobile developed by Meezan Bank Limited. It is the official online banking and companion app for Meezan Bank, the first premiere commercial Islamic bank in Pakistan. With it, users will be able to manage and access their accounts from their smartphones or tablets.
Similar to Chase Mobile or U-Mobile - Union Bank of India, Meezan Mobile Banking comes with features outside of just standard cash transfers. It also offers various financial services, including paying bills, tuition fees, and even lets users donate to charitable causes.
The premier Islamic bank
Meezan Bank is the first Islamic bank in Pakistan that started operations back in 2002. It is officially licensed by the State Bank of Pakistan and has established a vast network of over 890 branches. With a market share of 35% in the Islamic banking industry, it is able to cater to millions of users, and with the Meezan Mobile Banking app, its services can be conveniently accessed online.
The first thing you'll notice with Meezan Mobile Banking is that it lets you access and manage your account securely using biometric login protocols. It provides detailed reports for all your statements and transactions for detailed tracking of expenses. Aside from the standard money transfer, bill payment, and top-up features, you can also pay school tuition fees. You can even make donations directly to charitable causes.
Other nice extra features include a branch map guide, alerts for discounts and promotions, and even a Qibla locator, which a lot of users will appreciate. There are some things that need to be noted before proceeding, though. Over its last few updates, a lot of users have been experiencing frequent app crashes. Also, plenty of people have reported experiencing problems logging into their accounts.
